Radius Rail, the intermodal business unit of Circumference America, Inc. (CAI), is now offering container service, covering 20-, 40- and 45-foot shipping units. Radius Rail's partnerships with such major railroads as CSX, Norfolk Southern and Union Pacific, and intermodal providers such as Pacer, Triple Crown and Schneider National, allow for access to a broader range of service equipment, the company said. As a result, customers can now use Radius Rail both for international shipments moving inland via U.S. ports, and pure domestic intermodal freight. CAI is a new, non-asset-based transportation holding company with operating subsidiaries that focus on truckload, less-than-truckload, expedited and intermodal transportation services. Other operating units include Vertex Transport and an agency relationship with Sunteck Transport Group.
