U.S. Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg announced August 17 that 24 members had been appointed to the Advisory Committee on Transportation Equity (ACTE), a Department of Transportation (DOT) organization aimed at providing advice and recommendations to Secretary Buttigieg regarding issues of civil rights and transportation equality.
The DOT reviewed over 240 applications for the committee. The newly-appointed members, who will each serve two-year terms, include:
