South African Airways will resume direct flights to Brazil this month, the carrier’s first intercontinental route since it emerged from bankruptcy two years ago.
The airline will be relaunched officially on October 26 by Public Enterprises Minister Pravin Gordhan, his department said in a statement.
“The relaunch of the route to São Paulo, Brazil, underscores the progress that SAA has made since the airline narrowly averted liquidation,” it said.
