FreightScan, LLC, a developer of information technology tools for the freight and logistics industry, has entered into a strategic partnership with Group Concorde, a freight services company based in India. Under the brand of FreightScan India, Group Concorde will handle all sales and installation of FreightScan's FS100 automated cargo-scanning technology throughout the region known as SAARC, for South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation. The group is a consortium of 12 countries, including India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Afghanistan, Maldives and Bhutan. It also covers territory in the Middle East, United Arab Emirates and Eastern Europe. Group Concorde maintains a network of 16 locations throughout India, serving all major airports, seaports and warehouse facilities. The new FreightScan India operation will handle a number of key business functions, including branding and market identification, customer identification, closing sales contracts, FS100 installation and maintenance, logistics management, import management and technical training for purchasers of the FS100 hardware and software.
