Acsis, Inc. has made available the Acsis Optimization Platform, a package of software applications aimed at companies looking to improve the operation of their supply chains. Acsis's optimization tools streamline the collection of data and the movement of goods and assets throughout the supply chain. The technology automatically tracks goods from the manufacturing line throughout the extended chain. It integrates product-movement data and transactions with business software such as enterprise resource planning and warehouse management systems. Third-party operations can be integrated into existing processes and information systems for enhanced visibility and management. As part of the Optimization Platform, Acsis is offering an efficiency-assessment service to help manufacturers identify opportunities for boosting the performance of their supply-chain execution processes. The vendor also announced availability of its Shipment Execution Optimization Solution (SEOS). The tool is a shipment-execution and verification module, which aids in the accurate processing of deliveries to the customer. It automates many of the tasks involved in the shipment process, alerting personnel when attention if required. A Shipment Validation Station, part of the execution offering, lets users pack serialized and non-serialized items for small parcels and larger pallet-sized orders. The system resembles a point-of-sale system, where each item is scanned and placed into a case, and then onto a pallet. Acsis SEOS is the first in a line of optimization applications available on the vendor's Optimization Platform.
