Penske Truck Leasing Co., L.P. has joined with Smith System Driver Improvement Institute, Inc. to provide its customers with an electronic learning resource for driver safety training courses. Penske's U.S. customers can now access Smith System's driver-safety training programs, including online and in-person, along with a wide selection of instructional safety-related DVDs, books, posters and related materials. Penske customers access the Smith services, as well as several other fleet-management tools, through MyFleetAtPenske, the company's customer website. Penske Truck Leasing is a joint venture among Penske Corp., Penske Automotive Group and General Electric. It operates more than 200,000 vehicles and serves customers from more than 1,000 locations in North America, South America, Europe and Asia. Smith System provides behind-the-wheel instruction to more than 35,000 fleet drivers each year.
