Consona Corp. has made available version 1.3 of its Shop Floor Manager software for the Made2Manage (M2M) enterprise resource planning (ERP) application. The tool was designed for manufacturers with engineer-to-order, configure-to-order, assemble-to-order, make-to-order and mixed-mode discrete manufacturing operations. According to the vendor, M2M Shop Floor Manager eliminates the need for paperwork to communicate shop schedules, manufacturing instructions and material lists. The application also consolidates labor and inventory transactions, allowing customers more efficiently to manage production with ready access to shop-floor status and functions. The latest release includes more than 125 enhancements, including Production Analyzer, which improves the accuracy of scheduling and inventory valuation. Consona also announced the availability of version 3.6 of Paradigm, an ERP offering from the company's Cimnet Systems product line, and version 3.2.0 of Engenix. The new versions are specially designed for manufacturers of printed circuit boards. Paradigm 3.6 offers expanded capability for managing arrays in addition to boards and panels. Highlights of Engenix 3.2.0 include a knowledge-based problem-solving and customer-communications module. Engineers can define and share a list of customer problems, solving them with the help of a library of options based on the customer's own history.
