Zoho has made available version 2.0 of Zoho Projects, the company's software for online project management. The tool includes a number of standard features such as tasks and milestones, reports, time sheets and online calendars. In addition, it allows for integration with Microsoft Project, so that users planning a project in that application can import data and execute the project in Zoho's software. A feature dubbed Project Stream displays the latest activities pertaining to a project, while another provides a Twitter-like interface through which users can securely publish the latest update to their entire team. A shared project calendar keeps all participants apprised of upcoming deadlines and meetings. A project dashboard offers an at-a-glance view of upcoming tasks, milestones and meetings. Zoho is offering a free version of Projects 2.0, as well as a standard plan for $12 per month and enterprise plan for $80 per month. In a related announcement, Zoho has released Zoho Office for Microsoft SharePoint. The tool lets users work with the vendor's collaborative productivity applications to create, view and edit files stored in SharePoint. It is being delivered as an add-on which installs on top of Microsoft SharePoint 2007 and 2003.
