Oracle Corp. and its development partners have introduced 41 additional applications, as part of the vendor's Oracle Accelerate program for mid-sized companies. Accelerate now features 311 apps, offered by 184 partners in 37 countries. Available in pre-packaged bundles, they combine Oracle applications with partner knowledge to provide rapid, fixed-cost implementations, the vendor says. One of Oracle's partners, Infosys Technologies Limited, has created four Accelerate apps in India and Australia, focused on industrial manufacturing and travel and transportation. Another, CD Group, has developed three business-intelligence tools, covering sales, inventory and general ledger analysis. Part of Oracle Business Intelligence Suite Enterprise Edition Plus, they are integrated with Oracle's JD Edwards EnterpriseOne suite. Other new partner offerings are available in South Africa - the first Accelerate apps aimed at companies in in Africa - and Mexico.
