Advant-e Corp. has engineered an integration and trading partner connectivity tool for Oracle Corp.'s PeopleSoft Enterprise software. The application, utilizing electronic data interchange, is being offered through two wholly owned subsidiaries of Advant-e, Edict Systems Inc. and Merkur Group Inc. Edict is a provider of internet-based EDI links, allowing users to connect and manage supply chain trading communities. Merkur offers a fax and e-mail service integrated with the PeopleSoft application. Its connector provides secure delivery of purchase order data to Edict's EnterpriseEC, for translation into EDI data and delivery via AS2, Secure FTP, or traditional value-added networks. The connector also provides visibility of delivered transactions within PeopleSoft, and insertion of received transactions into PeopleSoft via Integration Broker. Other aspects of Edict's EDI products, offered in a software-as-a-service (SaaS) model, include supplier on-boarding and real-time data validation. In the case of the latter, an application known as ValidateEC provides an external business-rule engine to ensure data integrity.
