Oracle Corp. has integrated its Value Chain Planning applications with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, the vendor's enterprise resource planning (ERP) software for mid-sized companies. The feature is being offered in the form of the Oracle Application Integration Architecture (AIA) process integration pack. Oracle AIA offers a means for companies to integrate their end-to-end business processes across a wide range of custom, Oracle or third-party applications. The technology draws on best practices in the management of trade, demand signals, risk, supply and distribution planning, inventory postponement and collaborative planning. Oracle said it will continue to support the existing JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Supply Chain Planning applications, while simultaneously enabling gradual adoption of the modules from its Value Chain Planning software. Key elements of the integrated offering include Oracle's Advanced Supply Chain Planning, Demantra software for demand management, Advanced Planning Command Center, Inventory Optimization, Strategic Network Optimization and Production Scheduling. Value Chain Planning also offers out-of-the-box integration with Oracle Transportation Management and Siebel CRM.
