RollStream Inc., a vendor of corporate community-management software, has launched a new application known as Business-to-Business (B2B) Workspaces. Delivered via a software-as-a-service (SaaS) model, the tool allows supplier and procurement managers to develop secure, online micro communities of trading partners. They can communicate one-on-one or in a multi-group arrangement. Workspaces can be used for a variety of activities, such as coordinated partner marketing, performance-feedback management, requests for proposals, solicitation of feedback on existing products, or development of new-product strategies. The technology also provides a destination for buyers to discover new suppliers, review their product capabilities, comment on designs and influence overall product strategies. Distributed teams can share multimedia market and competitive intelligence information for improved supplier enablement, RollStream said. Workspaces creates a secure online site where appropriate individuals can be matched with their projects on either side of a B2B relationship. A permissions feature controls who can view and edit content. Other features include conversations, document and video sharing, event and project calendar tracking and automated notifications.
