New Momentum, a provider of hosted anti-counterfeiting software, has joined with TXT e-solutions, a vendor of supply chain management applications for the fashion industry, in marketing a risk management tool to retail fashion companies. According to the partners, the offering will help manufacturers to reduce the incidence of counterfeiting and gray-market sales throughout their supply chains. Under the new agreement, New Momentum's data is fed into TXTPerform 2008, TXT's supply chain management software, giving users improved visibility into consumer buying patterns. In the process, they obtain the ability to identify supply chain risks earlier. The intelligence provides real-time inputs into demand management processes and the supply network, including supplier communication.
