Pegasus TransTech is now offering its Express Indexing software module as a stand-alone application. Truck fleets and transportation companies can deploy the tool regardless of the back-office imaging systems they might be using. Express Indexing, a module of the vendor's Transflo document-management system, is now available to any transportation company that captures documents electronically and requires a low-cost method of speeding up billing and collections. Designed originally for the document-intensive truckload industry, Express Indexing is now used extensively by fleets, third-party logistics providers and brokers, according to Pegasus TransTech. Transportation documents such as bills of lading, expense receipts, logs and accident reports can arrive from truck-stop scanning systems as well as from in-house or outsourced document scanners. The software correctly identifies and indexes document images so that they can be routed to the proper department for further action.
