Retalix Ltd. said it will integrate Microsoft's new Windows 7 operating system with its retail and supply chain software. Retalix will use Windows 7 across its entire product line, including Retalix Transportation Management. The software automates and optimizes a distributor's freight planning, procurement, settlement and visibility processes, with an emphasis on supplier collaboration. In addition, it identifies backhauls and other freight-hauling opportunities. "Windows 7 offers the latest operating system tools from Microsoft, and will help further enhance our software offerings for retailers and distributors," said Reuben Halevi, president of the Global Supply Chain division of Retalix. Features of Windows 7 include Windows Touch, Microsoft DirectAccess and BranchCache for a more secure and flexible network infrastructure, and legacy support through Windows XP. Retalix sells software to retailers and distributors in more than 50 countries.
