Epicor Software Corp has released Epicor XL Connect, the latest version of its business reporting and analytics software. The tool provides real-time, secure access to business data from Microsoft Office Excel. It simplifies the process of creating and refreshing reports and analyses in Excel, the vendor said. XL Connect allows users to interact with live data via a spreadsheet. A live link ensures that the user's view is current and accurate. With immediate integration to business data, users can create reports faster and easier, Epicor said. Multi-dimensional drill-down functions help them to explore detailed data with a few clicks, without leaving Excel. Users can draw on existing spreadsheets, without the need for copy-and-paste or SQL queries. Epicor customers can install, train and begin building reports in a few hours, the vendor claimed. Epicor provides business applications for the mid-market and divisions of Global 1000 companies.
