LeanLogistics is now offering LeanSource, its transportation procurement software, as a standalone application. The tool is available in a software-as-a-service (SaaS) mode. It allows shippers to create their own private transportation marketplaces for soliciting and contracting rates, capacity and lanes in a replicable fashion. LeanSource has been an integral component of the vendor's SaaS Transportation Management offering for more than two years. It is now available as a separate, subscription-based Web application that shippers can use on their own. They get access to sourcing and analytical tools for conducting their own procurement events, regardless of their level of transportation spend, carrier community size or transportation management system platform. Current LeanLogistics customers who had relied on the capability through LeanSource Procurement App can now easily maintain and replicate bid events on their own. The technology is similarly available to shippers who are not current customers of LeanLogistics.
