Oracle Corp. has integrated two of its applications for business planning, Oracle Hyperion Planning and Demantra Real-Time Sales and Operations Planning. According to the vendor, the move gives CFOs and supply-chain executives a direct path to integrated business planning. CFOs can obtain reliable revenue forecasts that have been validated against current operating plans. On the operations side, supply-chain and manufacturing managers can reconcile current operating plans against updated financial targets and budgets. Drawing on Oracle Application Integration Architecture, Hyperion Planning can publish financial targets for revenue, profits and other metrics to Demantra Real-Time Sales and Operations Planning. The result, said Oracle, is increased visibility into financial goals, along with improved supply-chain operations and demand-shaping activities.
