SAP AG has created the SAP BusinessObjects BI (Business Intelligence) OnDemand application. Aimed at "casual" BI users, it offers a complete set of tools for instant access, exploration, reporting, visualization and sharing of data, without the need to switch between applications. They can visually navigate data from any source using SAP BusinessObjects Explorer software. A guided path walks them through the processes of reporting and analysis. Users can also access all on-demand and on-premise data, including data from SAP and the Salesforce customer relationship management application. Data can be easily uploaded for the purpose of creating dashboards, reports or interactive visualizations. Another on-demand module allows for the creation of ad hoc reports, the conducting of "what-if" analyses, and the sharing of information inside or outside the company. Customers, partners and employees across all lines of business get immediate access to the most current data. The software is available in scalable pricing models, SAP said.
