TZA Consulting had added lean practices to its portfolio of supply-chain services. The new Lean Distribution and Lean Administrative tools are aimed at customers from all industries, TZA said. Features include Enterprise Visioning, Value Stream Mapping and Kaizen Events. They help customers to determine the elements required to operate at peak performance levels, identify critical areas that add value to the supply chain, and devise plans for implementing changes to their systems. Lean Distribution draws on TZA's engineering expertise to help customers eliminate waste and reduce costs in their distribution operations. Lean Administrative takes a similar approach to the administrative side of the business. TZA claims that the services can result in improvements of between 20 and 40 percent.
