Datalogic Mobile has released Power3, a new system platform for rugged mobile computers. The tool was based on feedback from users, IT managers, system integrators, software developers and others, whose views were solicited by Datalogic engineers and product managers. It is intended to maximize the benefits of mobile computing while minimizing implementation time and cost. According to the vendor, Datalogic computers capture data, voice and media transactions in real time. As a result, programmers and integrators can more easily deploy mobility systems. Datalogic Mobile is a global manufacturer of mobility technology for retail applications, assisted shopping, warehouse systems and field-force automation. Its product line of rugged mobile computers includes pocket-sized units, pistol-grip devices and industrial PDAs. The company claims a presence in more than 30 countries, and more than 800 business partners worldwide.
