The global positioning system (GPS) tracking devices and accompanying software platform of GTX Corp. will become part of the services offered by Midnite Express (MNX), under a new three-year contract between the two companies. MNX is a worldwide courier, headquartered in Los Angeles, with 27 offices in eight countries. It has committed to buying and activating a minimum of 15,000 GTX devices over the next three years, and anticipates beginning deployment of 2,000 to 3,000 units in the third and fourth quarters of 2010. Initially, MNX will use the devices to track medical and bio-pharmaceutical shipments, then later roll out the technology to all sensitive, high-value shipments. MNX expects the deal to enhance the services it already provides to the life sciences, medical and pharmaceutical transportation business.
