SerCom Solutions, a provider of supply-chain services to global information technology companies, has launched a financial optimization model. The tool is aimed at companies looking to develop new outsourcing partnerships around supply-chain management activities. SerCom provides upfront financing related to the procurement and management of hardware components, inventory financing and logistics. In the process, the vendor said, customers can free up cash for purposes of market development and demand generation. In business for more than 30 years, Dublin, Ireland-based SerCom offers a suite of supply-chain services, including kitting, planning, order and warehouse management, product sourcing, procurement, distribution and logistics management, underpinned by an SAP IT platform. The company is a wholly owned subsidiary of DCC plc.
