Evans Distribution Systems has begun operations at two locations in Colorado, in support of automotive supply chains. Evans is a third-party logistics provider of warehousing, transportation and related services. It is working with a national trucking company to manage labor and processes at two automotive cross-dock operations in Denver and Aurora, Co. In the process, Evans has added 25 associates, including material handlers and managers. In another company announcement, Evans has expanded with new operations in Kenosha, Wisc. and Twinsburg and Toledo, Ohio. The company is providing switching and yard-management services for an automotive client at several assembly plants. To support the new business, Evans has hired 16 employees to serve as drivers and managers. Evans' transportation division now supports nine automotive assembly plants throughout the Midwest with switching and yard management.
