Dow Jones & Co. has introduced a Supplier & Risk Monitor. The tool allows users to keep track of multiple sources of risk, including supplier failure, supply continuity, political exposure, brand reputation, product safety, plant and port closures and staff disruptions. According to Dow Jones, the monitoring service gives supply-chain managers critical information for the management of risk and the identification of potentially disruptive events before they become full-blown supply-chain disasters. The offering draws on more than 25,000 media sources from 150 countries to monitor events that could affect suppliers. Companies gain a more complete picture of critical partners and regions, and can expand their risk-scanning activities across all trading partners, Dow Jones said. The Supplier & Risk Monitor can be fully customized with widgets installed directly into a customer's workflow or hosted in a dashboard format, ensuring accessibility of the most current supply-chain intelligence. Users can set up alerts, so as to be informed about key news and information by e-mail or mobile device.
