Axxom Software AG is combining its technology with Mantis, a vendor of logistics software in Central Eastern Europe, Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). Axxom is a provider of applications for labor management, supply chain, production and logistics optimization. Under the first stage of the partnership, Mantis will provide Axxom's ORion-PI Staff Planning & Scheduling software as an add-on to Warehouse Vision, its warehouse management system (WMS). According to the partners, the arrangement will allow for the smooth flow of data between systems. Users will be able to plan and schedule staff based on actual data from the WMS. They can conduct capacity analysis by days, shifts or minutes, the companies said. Users can also manage demand-oriented absence, manpower planning and the rescheduling of workers between shifts and departments. In the second stage, the two companies plan to extend their partnership to address intra-logistics optimization. Under that scenario, Mantis will integrate the intelligent optimization algorithms of Axxom with its software. Mantis's Logistics Vision application is used by more than 300 companies in 17 countries in Eastern Europe and Russia/CIS, the company said.
