Emptoris, a vendor of software for strategic supply and contract management, has acquired Rivermine, Inc., a provider of telecommunications expense management applications. According to Emptoris, the deal adds a portfolio of Global 1000 companies to its customer base, while increasing its involvement with key strategic partners. Rivermine's technology helps companies to view and control their telecom spend and lifecycle management processes, including ordering, inventory, invoice processing and auditing. They can also better control the management of wireless expense, mobile devices, reporting and analytics. With the acquisition of Rivermine, Emptoris now offers an expanded suite of six strategic products. Both companies have premier partner relations with leading management-consulting firms, including Accenture, Deloitte and IBM.
