China announced restrictions on gallium and another mineral, germanium, in a move seen as part of the country’s tit-for-tat trade war on technology with the U.S. and Europe.
After being approved by the Council of the European Union, the regulation will be signed by the President of the European Parliament and the President of the Council.
The agreement by the two countries to work more closely was reached during a bilateral economic cooperation committee meeting held in Seoul, South Korea.
