The Glovis Sun — carrying a couple thousand cars as its cargo — had recently traveled around Southern Africa, before arriving at the Port of Zeebrugge on July 18.
Women who sorted resin for the Somaliland supplier claimed that they would work 12-hour days, six days a week, in facilities with no toilets or running water.
The program is designed to give women- and minority-owned small businesses the chance to learn the skills needed to work and grow within the maritime industry.
