Lightweight metals leader Alcoa has entered into a long-term contract with Embraer valued at approximately $470m to supply aluminum sheet and plate for E2s, the second generation of the Brazilian manufacturer's E-Jets family of commercial aircraft.
Lightweight, high-performance metals leader Alcoa has announced plans to further expand its global aerospace business by acquiring privately held TITAL. The acquisition will strengthen Alcoa's global position to capture increasing demand for advanced jet engine components made of titanium.
