Voxware, a vendor of voice-recognition software for warehouse operations, is now supporting the Android operating system. Voxware called the move a "logical extension" of its commitment to open standards and hardware independence. The portability of Voxware's devices allows its customers to move to certified Android devices without paying to have their voice applications reprogrammed, according to Krishna Venkatasamy, vice president of research and development. The company claims to be the first voice-technology vendor to support Android. Its products are designed to support the full spectrum of warehouse functions.
