Customers of Cadec's PowerVue application can now directly access ALK's on-board, voice-guided GPS system, which stores detailed ALK Maps of North America, and is enhanced with PC-Miler, the truck-specific routing package. Users get over-the-air map updates; integration with customer-routing software, including turn-by-turn directions; the ability to avoid or favor specific roads and locations; access to more than 7 million points of interest with phone numbers, and fast automatic route recalculation. According to Cadec, the integration with CoPilot Truck 9 allows fleets to improve back-office productivity by reducing driver-support needs, increase on-time performance and customer service, cut down on out-of-route mileage, and improve fleet efficiency through increased asset utilization.
