Available from the Google Play Store, Apple App Store and Windows Marketplace, the new tools offer mobile functionality in such areas as human resources, customer-relationship management, ad hoc reporting, application search, vehicle management and IFS support services. The new IFS Touch Apps include Time Tracker, Trip Tracker, Sales Companion, Quick Reports, Quick Facts, Flight Log and Support Companion. IFS is also releasing IFS Notify Me for Windows Phone and Windows 8. In another company development, IFS has released version 5.5 of IFS Metrix Service Management. The tool supports companies managing field-service workforces. It covers such functions as customer relationship management, scheduling, mobile service, contract pricing, warranty repair and parts management. Available extensions include schedule optimization for large field-service workforces, and functionality from IFS Applications for such tasks as maintenance, repair and overhaul. The update includes enhanced features for intuitive usability by technicians in the field and managers in the office.
