The new joint effort will allow them to execute store fulfillment processes while staffing accordingly. Users will be able to account for labor demands from all of their sales channels and non-service-based activities. In a related announcement, Manhattan has introduced Store Commerce Activation, an application designed to transform store locations into "omni-channel" fulfillment centers. It covers the areas of store inventory management, order management and order fulfillment. Retail stores can accept order-fulfillment requests and execute fulfillment directly in the store. Store associates are given a number of new capabilities, including in-store receiving, price ticket printing, buying online, picking up in-store, Web-based parcel shipping and inventory adjustments. Retailers can view and locate both on-hand and in-flight inventory at any point in the supply chain, track order status and proactively monitor delivery disruptions, Manhattan said. Store Commerce Activation also provides mobile inventory-management and order-fulfillment capabilities.
