E2open is itself a provider of cloud-based applications for collaborative planning and execution across global trade networks. The deal combines icon-scm's integrated planning and analytics capabilities with the E2open Business Network. The latter, serving more than 36,000 trading partners around the world, offers a suite of business-process management tools, including multi-tier planning, response management and analytics. The transaction was valued at approximately $34m.
