The arrangement will result in services that help expanding retail businesses open stores more quickly, while realizing greater control, increased sales and better cost efficiency, the companies said. Dubbed new Seko Store Development Services (SDS), the joint venture extends Seko's presence in the retail sector. Last September, it launched Seko Omni-Channel Logistics, an integrated electronic-commerce and logistics division formed to transition brick-and-mortar retailers into the global e-commerce market. Seko SDS's offering includes store design and specification, global sourcing, supplier management, demand planning, regulatory and compliance issues, certifications, logistics and transportation across borders. The new initiative is currently working with customers in the fashion, food, health, beauty, luxury and audio-visual sectors.
