The warehouse-management system (WMS) is designed for use by third-party logistics providers. The update offers an improved user experience, work centers, cloud eLearning and new functionality in event management, workflow engine, reporting, supply-chain intelligence and quality inspection. Accellos said it has added nearly 200 functions to improve the usability of the application, allowing customers to tailor the app to their unique needs. A new series of Workcenters provide the user with a single landing spot for researching such items as receipt, shipment, inventory and location. Cloud eLearning features tutorials and video help files, with the delivery network hosted in Microsoft Azure and syndicated worldwide. An Advanced Event Engine provides real-time information on events such as pallets being held up in a shrink-wrapper, and delays in carrier unloading. User-defined criteria can generate e-mails, text messages, workflows, database updates or custom actions.
