The new products include an in-store voice workflow application which runs on Honeywell’s mobile platform and supports the Microsoft Windows Embedded 8.1 and Android 5.0 operating systems. The new Voyager 1202G is Honeywell’s first battery-free wireless laser scanner. The 1602g pocket 2D Bluetooth scanner contains area-imaging technology with a compact form factor. The 1450g tethered scanner and 1452g wireless scanner, for PDF and 2D barcode reading, were designed with the ability to upgrade. According to Honeywell, they anticipate the need for future area imaging, such as scanning coupons off customers’ smartphones.
