In addition, users of the latest version of Eagle N Series can now offer their iPhone 6 and 6 Plus customers the option of paying with Apple Pay. Other features include point-to-point encryption of credit-card data at the point of swipe or insertion, creation of a random token number to be used for each transaction in Eagle N Series POS to enable returns and credits, tablet POS capability to support dynamic promotions and build customer loyalty, and real-time, edit-in-place Epicor Eagle Active Viewers and workflows to help users print labels, change prices and add customers, items and vendors more quickly. In another company announcement, Epicor has acquired operating assets and intellectual property of Insite Software, a provider of B2B and direct-to-consumer electronic commerce platforms and internationally enabled shipping services. The acquisition includes the InsiteShip and InsiteManifest software applications, including associated customer contracts, related intellectual property and other assets. Insite has been a technology alliance partner of Epicor since 2003, providing shipping applications integrated with Epicor ERP (enterprise resource planning).
