Order-management systems can send real-time information about shipments, delays and other events to JDA Order Promiser, which manages the open portion of an order during subsequent supply cycles. In addition, the latest version of Order Promiser accommodates local operating hours, and offers improved out-of-the-box integration with SAP systems. Part of JDA's Manufacturing planning suite of applications, Order Promiser supports all buy and sell transactions where the question of product availability must be answered quickly. It allocates supply to demand channels, then promises that supply to customer orders based on such factors as material availability, production capacity and constraints, manufacturing efficiencies, yields and lot sizes.
