The MX-1000 series was designed to support tasks such as inventory management, logistics and field service. The devices include Cognex's barcode-reading technology. Initial versions of the mobile terminal will offer capability for reading both 1D and 2D barcodes. In the future, the company expects to offer such features as optical character read (OCR), package dimensioning and inspection.
