MCA Solutions has introduced a new version of its MCA OnDemand application, which helps companies to manage their service-parts supply chains. It is geared to the needs of mid-market business, the vendor said. Offered under a software-as-a-service (SaaS) model, OnDemand can be up and running in a little as 30 days after receipt of data, MCA claimed. It employs pre-configured templates with industry-specific best practices, along with a hosted IT infrastructure in a secure data center. The technology is intended to lower up-front and ongoing costs for mid-sized manufacturers, as well as provide easy internet access, secure data with round-the-clock support, and reduced risk, MCA said. The company's service parts-planning and optimization software is used by manufacturers in a variety of industries, including high-tech, medical, aerospace and defense, and capital equipment.
