NetSuite Inc., a vendor of software for mid-market businesses and divisions of large companies, has developed a new version of its NetSuite OneWorld application. The new tool draws on the software-as-a-service (SaaS) model, so that users of SAP AG software can utilize on-demand software at the divisional level, while retaining their investments in on-premise software at the corporate level. NetSuite OneWorld for SAP allows large SAP legacy accounts to use NetSuite's on-demand application to manage multinational, multi-subsidiary business operations in real time. They can then incorporate division-level transaction and summary data to achieve a company-wide view of operations. According to NetSuite, company divisions often require software systems that are more flexible and customizable than those provided by the corporate parent. Included in NetSuite OneWorld for SAP is an integration offering known as SuiteCloud Connect for SAP. It lets SAP customers take data captured at the divisional level, such as general ledger, order and revenue information, and move it into their systems at the corporate level. The application supports a number of data types that are essential to enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, including invoices, purchase orders, item fulfillment, journal entries, investment adjustments, time entries and expense reports.
