Transite Technology has released My Freight Portal-3PL, a tool that allows logistics service providers to manage the costs and profits associated with each move, while giving 3PL customers full transportation process functionality. According to Transite, My Freight Portal-3PL enables logistics companies to integrate financial data related to transportation services, including accounts payable and receivable, into existing accounting packages such as QuickBooks. The tool provides reports on such elements as customer activity levels, financials and patterns of carrier selection. It integrates easily into customers' systems, including enterprise resource planning, electronic commerce and websites, allowing for the automation of all aspects of the logistics lifecycle, the vendor said. 3PL customers can rate-shop for their least-cost carriers, and receive real-time tracking and shipment data, with proactive notification upon delivery or change in status. For profit management, users can monitor their markup per transaction.
