BorgSolutions Inc., a provider of software for managing truck fleets, has introduced Borg Fleet Linked Edition, a fleet-maintenance tool aimed at dealers and suppliers. Designed as a module built into Borg Fleet, Linked Edition allows dealers and service providers to communicate directly with their customers. In the process, they can automate parts and service requests, as well as invoice and financial tracking. As a part of Borg Fleet, the tool offers additional views and functions beyond basic fleet-maintenance management. A user-friendly interface allows for parts and service requests to be handled through the system at the click of a button. It manages all back-office functions, including work orders, invoicing and service allocations, providing a constant link through which the dealer can advertise specials and market products directly to customers. Armed with specific knowledge of a customer's fleet, the dealer can market parts and service specials that are targeted directly to its needs. Combined with Borg Fleet's predictive maintenance capability, Borg Linked allows the customer to forecast a maintenance issue before asset downtime occurs.
