Oracle Corp. and Hewlett-Packard Co. have joined to create a new application for mid-sized industrial manufacturers through Oracle Consulting. The HP and Oracle Consulting Accelerate Solution for Industrial Manufacturing offers hardware, software and services to help companies manage and grow their businesses, the partners said. The new tool consists of the Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12, which is pre-loaded on HP infrastructure hardware and delivered by Oracle Consulting. It is built on HP's BladeSystem infrastructure, and HP StorageWorks Modular Smart Arrays. A range of hardware configurations are available, based on the number of Oracle E-Business Suite users. The offering is pre-loaded and pre-configured at HP Factory Express. Oracle Accelerate for Midsize Companies combines Oracle applications and business accelerators with expertise in specific industries and geographies.
