Kinaxis Corp. is offering prospective customers a "No Risk Deployment" service, allowing them to try out the vendor's RapidResponse software before buying. The tool is Kinaxis' on-demand service for supply-chain management and sales and operations planning (S&OP). Under the program, Kinaxis fully deploys its standard RapidResponse service. After a 30-day evaluation, companies can decline to purchase it without penalty, or initiate the vendor's subscription service agreement. The program allows customers "who have grown weary of failed supply-chain and S&OP IT projects [to] make an informed decision about their purchase after experiencing the service first-hand," Kinaxis said. Standard deployment of the software includes out-of-the box functionality, integration and validation of data from one source, and full training and support. Upon agreeing to initiate a service agreement, customers can choose to extend their service to include data from multiple sources, meet specific configuration needs, and employ additional professional service packages to address specific supply-chain and S&OP issues.
