Sterling Commerce has developed Sterling InFlight Data Management Mobile, a hosted application providing business-to-business integration visibility for mobile devices. The product broadens the vendor's mobile application portfolio, which includes Sterling Integrator Mobile and Sterling Control Center Mobile. InFlight Data Management Mobile gives users up-to-the-minute visibility into their B2B transactions. In the process, they can better manage electronic document exchange in support of key functions such as purchase orders, remittances and other supply-chain operations. Customers can determine the status of a transaction, monitor and react to errant transactions, and review actions taken by trading partners. Results, according to Sterling, include improved employee productivity, better responsiveness to B2B document-processing issues, and a higher level of trading-partner satisfaction.
