Prophesy Transportation Solutions Inc., a provider of trucking and logistics software to the transportation industry, has made available ProphesyMaps. The new tool adds Microsoft Bing Maps technology to Prophesy DispatchSeries, the vendor's transportation management system. ProphesyMaps is a new feature for users of DispatchSeries, which now incorporates licensed Bing Mapping technology. The application geocodes and reverse-geocodes to locate vehicles, trace routes and pinpoint origins and destinations, all on one centralized map. The ProphesyMaps interface can be accessed via a simple menu. It includes the ability to zoom in and out by using a mouse or buttons on the new system interface, aerial views which allow users to see locations in real time, mileage database updates for generating routes, views of an en route truck's location along with the route generated by the system and actual route taken, push-pin plotting of load origin and destination with clearly marked travel routes, and the ability to change loads and locations plotted from within the map view.
