CDC Software Corp. has entered into an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) partnership with OnAsset Intelligence, Inc. CDC is a provider of applications in both on-premise and "cloud" versions. OnAsset is a vendor of machine-to-machine (M2M) wireless asset tracking, sensing and control systems. Under the new deal, OnAsset will draw on CDC's supply-chain technology to combine real-time wireless monitoring and sensor data with information from business IT systems. The results, the partners claimed, will be greater visibility, security and business intelligence during the transportation of high-value freight. CDC's technology will be integrated with OnAsset's Vision Platform, allowing customers to utilize data from remote wireless Sentry devices and other systems. Together with Sentry devices, the Vision Platform provides a managed service for visibility of goods during all modes of transportation, including land, sea and air.
